Food Forward is collaborating with the Farmers Kitchen and SoCAL food preserving guru Ernest Miller for the second round of Food Forward’s Can It! Academy Food Preservation & Cottage Arts Certificate Program – a 12 week survey course which will run Sept 18th thru Dec 11th in Hollywood on Wednesday evenings (6:30-10pm.)
After the success of the first course this past spring, (which is the only one of its kind in SoCAL) this course will have smaller group, and lessons dedicated to jams, jellies, pickles, dehydration, charcuterie, beer, bread, how to maneuver the new AB 1616 law on cottage food, and much more – Ernest is the key instructor but several guest instructors should be expected.
Best of all, 100% of net proceeds go to help support Food Forward’s programs to harvest food, fight hunger and build community.
